• How does selling 3D virtual items benefit humanity?
  (Did you know it was 1.5 billon dollar industry?)
• How does GTA IV or Rockband benefit this world?

Granted there is nothing wrong with any of the above but we are diluting ourselves if we think any of these things are important innovations. Venture capital needs to step up and start thinking about the bigger picture. Why is Facebook valued at 15 Billion? There are almost seven billion people on this planet and less than a quarter of them use the internet. Imagine the problems that could be solved if all that Silicon Valley brain-power went into greater technologies that benefited the world  like new energy, transportation, water reclamation, or agriculture. With seven billion people there is plenty of money to be made in those areas. Ask yourself: who would you like to be your customer, only a quarter of the Earth’s population, or all of them? Also know that half the world’s population is in poverty. But keep in mind any world innovation would not only benefit you but also many of the the very poor and impoverished creating new customers for Iphones, and Rockband.

He demonstrated the system to the Navy by blowing up a target with one of his “Teleautomatons” remotely. But due to the military being in the back pocket of Tesla’s rival “Thomas Edison” they never bought on to the system. Today the military is now moving almost completely in the direction that Tesla envisioned over 100 years ago with their development and use of UCAV unmanned vehicles.

Proportionately the model matches the illustration. A lot of work still needs to be done with the windows and other features… something is missing. I’m thinking because there is not much information on the completed look of the tower save for this World Wireless promo art. I can take some artistic license I’ll have to look up window treatments from that era.

World Wireless: Interactive role over presentation

This is an early render of Tesla’s “Wardenclyffe broadcasting Tower“ Due to funding this tower was never completed and eventually the wooden frame was destroyed. The architect W.D. Crow is long dead. So no one knows exactly what this tower would have looked like. All that I can find on the tower are some old photos of the internal frame and some B&W concept artwork. I’m posting this now to get some input as to what the outer walls would have looked like? Could it have been made out of brick with a wooden frame similar to the lab at Wardenclyffe built by Stanford White that still stands today?

If anyone has any high resolution images of Tesla’s Wardenclyffe tower project I would like to know about it?
